Kelechi Ukaegbu, BDS, MS
Dr. Kelechi Ukaegbu is a board-certified periodontist dedicated to providing evidence-based periodontal and implant with a strong commitment to patient-centered treatment.
Dr. Ukaegbu graduated with honors from the prestigious King’s College London Dental Institute. She subsequently completed her specialty training in Periodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, where she earned both a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Her master’s research investigated the role of antioxidants in periodontal wound healing, work that continues to influence her regenerative treatment philosophy.
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, distinctions that reflect excellence in clinical practice, scholarship, and professional achievement.
Dr. Ukaegbu’s clinical interests include periodontal regeneration, soft tissue grafting, bone augmentation, dental implants, management of peri-implant diseases, and complex dentoalveolar surgery.
Dr. Ukaegbu has authored peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including the Journal of Periodontology and the International Wound Journal. Her research has been cited across the fields of periodontology, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials. Dr Ukaegbu has presented her work at multiple conferences. During her residency, she was recognized as a finalist in the American Academy of Periodontology Research Forum.
She remains committed to lifelong learning and integrating the latest scientific evidence into clinical practice to provide compassionate, predictable, and personalized periodontal care.
When she is not caring for her patients, Dr. Ukaegbu enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
